Maker Move STEM

We had a fantastic day with a pop-up makerspace provided by Maker Futures programme at the University of Sheffield’s School of Education. The workshops are designed so children use a range of objects that will engage them in a STEM activity ( science, technology, engineering, art and maths).

The makerspace enables the children to use tools to tinker, test, design and make and develops creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. The makerspace was available to children from nursery up to year 2.

We also use this day to give children the knowledge of different careers based on STEM learning and dispel any stereotypical ideas.
