Resources for talking to your children about coronavirus
5. Sheffield’s Children’s NHS Trust website has some really clear, simple visual resources that you can print and use. They provide communication boards and social stories that cover a range of topics including school closures, coronavirus, washing hands and being at home.
8. The YoungMinds UK provide advice on what to do if your child is anxious about coronavirus. This might be more useful for teens and young adults. The main focus is on self-care and they provide further information about how young people can look after their mental health if self-isolating.

We realise that some of the families who require these speech and language resources may not have the facilities to print them at home. If your child is under the Speech and Language Therapy service, you can call our admin team on 01302 644958 and request that a resource is printed and sent out to you.
